Professional Ken Petersen is a Registered Securities Principal and Registered Investment Advisor Associate of Petersen & Ramistella, Inc. in Monterey, California. He has a Masters in Business Administration with an emphasis in Finance from Old Dominion University in Virginia, and a Masters of Science in Operations Research/Systems Analysis from the Naval Postgraduate School in Monterey. He is also a graduate of the College of Financial Planning. Petersen is licensed as an Enrolled Agent (tax specialist) by the U.S. Department of the Treasury. He has earned the AIFA ™ (Accredited Investment Fiduciary Auditor ™) professional designation, awarded by the Center for Fiduciary Studies, associated with the University of Pittsburg, which certifies him to conduct investment fiduciary audits and/or reviews. Petersen is a current member of the Financial Planning Association, the National Association of Enrolled Agents, and the California Society of Enrolled Agents.

Mr. Petersen was the co-founder and Chairman of the Board of a national computer software firm that produces tax, accounting, and financial software for personal computers. He authored one of the first professional financial software for personal computers. He was an officer and pilot in the U.S. Marine Corps, where he flew the F-4 Phantom jet fighter. Because of his tax and financial planning expertise, Mr. Petersen has been interviewed on several local radio and TV stations including KSBW, KMST, and KMBY. He currently writes a weekly Financial Planning column in the Monterey County Herald. He is active in community service, served on the Board of Directors of the Big Sur International Marathon for its first eight years. Petersen currently serves on the Hospice Foundation Planned Giving Advisory Council, the Community Hospital Foundation Planned Giving Council, the NPS Foundation Planned Giving Committee, and the CSUMB Planned Giving Counsel. He also participates in various projects with the Pacific Grove Rotary Club.

Mr. Petersen specializes in investment management and financial planning for professionals and retirees. He manages his clients’ investments portfolios using a philosophy based upon screening all recommendations and decisions to be sure they are in his clients’ best interest. He develops and monitors investment portfolios, using the proven techniques of Modern Portfolio Theory, which he thinks have the greatest chance of meeting the goals, objectives and risk tolerance of his clients. He serves as his client’s financial advisor by providing financial planning, estate planning, retirement planning, insurance planning, and tax planning as needed.

Jennifer Walker is an attorney with Johnson, Gaver & Leach, LLP. Her practice focuses on Estate Planning and Estate Administration. Jennifer graduated from Johns Hopkins University and UC Davis School of Law. She is a member of the Monterey Peninsula Sunrise Rotary Club and the Planned Giving Advisory Council for the Hospice Foundation for the Central Coast. She lives in Monterey with her husband, Eric.
